A fresh and vibrant wine. Ripe tropical fruit and gooseberry flavours combined with herbaceous notes from the addition of 11% Semillon make this wine an excellent example of a classic Malborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Lifted aromas of passionfruit and gooseberry abound. A vibrant, lively wine, this Sauvignon balances the freshness of melon and lime with rich, ripe tropical fruit on the palate and a lingering finish. Subtle use of seasoned French oak casks on a portion of the blend adds further weight and complexity.

Cool fermentation and a combination of traditional and innovative techniques has helped to retain all of the fruits freshness and vibrancy.

Herbal notes of capsicum and ripe gooseberry are balanced on the palate with tropical nuances of melon, rich concentration and a crisp finish.

Maven Chardonnay 2007

The golden-hued berries for this Chardonnay were selected from a range of premium sites in Marlborough's renowned Wairau Valley and in the hills of the adjacent Omaka Valley.

By cool fermenting a portion of the wine in stainless steel we've allowed the true character of the fruit to shine through then balanced this with a richly textured barrel component to add further depth and complexity.

This is a fresh and fruity style of Chardonnay with lovely peach and nectarine aromas and a soft, creamy texture balanced with fresh citrus notes and a long finish.

Castaway Bay 2008 Chardonnay

Our finished wine is bursting with stone-fruit flavours of peach and nectarine. The barrel-fermented portion brings a creamy character, balanced by ripe citrus notes. We recommend serving our Chardonnay with chicken breasts which have been char-grilled. Accompany this with mashed potato drizzled with thyme infused olive oil and a fresh green salad, and it's a perfect match.

Omaka Springs Estates Falveys Vineyard Marlborough Chardonnay

Handpicked from 18 year old vines, our Falveys Chardonnay was barrel fermented in 25% new French Oak, lees aged and stirred, for 12 months. This vintage displays a lively citrus and toastiness while delivering a delicate balance between the fruit and oak characteristics. It has an exciting creamy nuttiness with an elegant and fleshy finish.

Aromas of pear and spiced apples are softened by tropical notes. The palate has a wonderful mineral centre surrounded by layers of complexity from the wild fermentation.

Maven Pinot Gris 2008

Grown in the clay based soils of Marlborough's Omaka Valley and the Wairau Valley the grapes for this Pinot Gris were hand picked once the berries had turned deep bronze in colour and the flavours almost honey like. 

A generous, full bodied style of Pinot Gris our 2008 has pear and spiced apple aromas, notes of wild honey and lychee on the palate and a long rich textured finish.

Lees stirring and partial wild fermentation in seasoned French oak barriques have added another dimension to this Pinot Gris' mouth filling palate weight and creamy texture.

Omaka Springs Estates Marlborough Merlot

This beautiful Merlot is aged for 10 months in 20% new American Oak barriques. This wine is a vibrant ruby red with tempting mocha and coffee aromas on the nose with a subtle vanilla nuance. Ripe, rich blackberry and plum on the palate complimented by spicy cedar. It is well structured, showing great fruit depth and finely integrated tannins.

Maven Pinot Noir 2007

Deep ruby in colour. Rich spicy and savoury aromas with subtle toasty notes from French barrique maturation balanced with dark cherry fruit and soft ripe tannins.

The fruit for our 2007 Marlborough Pinot Noir is sourced from a variety of premium sites and clones. A strong focus on attention to detail in the vineyard led to excellent fruit exposure and each block was entirely hand-picked.

Castaway Bay 2008 Pinot Noir

Ruby in colour with shades of purple at the edge. The aroma is bright and lifted with hints of red cherry, toasty oak, and mushrooms. The palate is fleshy with ripe red fruit and coffee bean overtones. Barrel-aging has enhanced the spicy notes of this wine to create a wine of great balance and excellent length. 13.5% alc.
